Playing, slaying dragons in my sleep

Tripping, sorting Norton’s whos with you

Relaxing, taxing, tracing roads through

Foremost miles, internal zoo

Lacing faery wings, floating real

Singing, swinging floating freely

Waters sparkle, twining shadows

A serenade of inner light

My vision for Artistically Speaking has always been to simply share what I like when I look at art or to share a fascinating idea or a viewpoint that inspires me. I also envisioned that this blog be a place to share my poetry. Recently I moved to VT in a very rural area. If you live in a rural mountainous region, you’ll know that is very expensive for a company to put up cell towers since in order to cover a small service area on each side of a ridge you might have to put up several towers not just one and that in a place that’s rural enough not to pave their roads, updating to fiber optics is slow at best. I have only dial up…so I’m sure you’ll understand why currently you only see poetry here…The wonderful images will return just as soon as I can surf sites that are image heavy again. In the mean time, I hope you enjoy my poetry. Welcome!

Spring Green

Rippling grass flowing in waves like the sea,

Gleaming spring, a canopy of lace against blue,

Fluttering like a bird, casting shadows in the greens,

Impossible patterns forming and blending

Into ever deepening layers,

Leaves…

So many billowing shapes, that sweet green…

Ah! It is like a sparkling on the tongue of the eyes.
