My first exposure to this photographer was the site for the Elaine Beckwith Gallery.

These four images captured my imagination and attention. Its part of a series called A Study In White:

I didn’t find a link to Sovjani’s own website on the Gallery site. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t there, but in the end, I did a Google search and found his own photography site. I found some amazing abstract photographs. Some of the nicest abstract work I’ve ever seen. These three are from a series he did on paper.

The next two are part of a portfolio on Still life images:

These next images are more abstracts he’s done.

He has a way of creating movement in still objects and relating them in a background that’s utterly separate, yet once you view the image, you cannot imagine it ever being separated from it. I find that delightful.

Here’s some images he’s labled landscapes. But even in these he’s managed to offer then an abstract experience.

His vision is unique and I certainly appreciate it immensely. You should really follow the link above to his site and have a look at the many wonderful images that I didn’t have room for!
