A couple weeks ago Paul left a link to Abel’s work in my comments section. I’ve fallen in love with some stuff by Andrew Gonzales and Paul, feeling Abel shares a rather nice spiritual mood also, wanted to share some of his favorite artists with me. I was pretty excited to see this work. One of the most important things to realize when you are viewing Abel’s site is that each image on his list is only a small viewpoint of the work of art. If you right click it, you’ll get to view the entire piece and some of it is very surprising. I adore his work!
This piece is a perfect example of what I mean about the thumb nails on his site being just a tease. Only the woman’s head is on the thumb nail for this one called Intromisia. I thought it was another of his Impressionist pieces with a death theme. Instead it is a sensual work of a wet juicy woman ready to spring out of the painting. Yummy!
Here’s Elana, stepping out. I picked it because I just loved the color and shadow he captured on the canvas behind her. He’s really quite good. I also liked the way the light plays on her skin. Yup. Very nice.
As a spanko, I just love this one called Horizontez. Can’t help myself….*smiles* Even if I didn’t like spanking, I would still see her back reflecting the sky and the folds of her body which are out of site reflected in the mountains beyond her. Very subtly erotic. No doubt about it.
This one El Caracol is just lovely. What’s not to love about it?! I just want to touch her, the shell…I can feel the textures on my finger tips.
This one is called Danzante. It captures something for me that perhaps would not be there for others. I see not only a figure in motion, nearly dancing as she plays her hand drum, but also a woman in trance, building power spiritually, calling visions.
I just loved this one. I really enjoyed all of the landscapes Abel offered to view on his site, be they the Impressionist pieces of this simple landscape, but I am very partial to these colors and the mood of this one. Heat just before a long rest…That’s fall to me. *smiles*
La Metamorfisios. This one is just so charming. It is how any young woman feels about being sexual at first and even many years later, when exploring something naughty to her…Well…I really liked it.
MIstico is an arresting piece. I know that most wouldn’t like it, but I really do. Its not a happy piece that I’d like on my wall, but its a common theme to much of my dream time and it interests me to see it in a painting.
I truly love this one. Anyone who knows me at all would know why….Lovely isn’t she? Its called La Madre Tierre. Fitting for our recent Earth Day celebration…
My friends are starting to do some posts on art. Rosa did a post recently on some lovely stuff. Check it out!
