Artistically Speaking

I was searching high and low for a single image to use for several blogs. Hours of searching. *wipes brow and sighs…* If you’ve ever done such a search, you’ll know that there’s nothing easy about such a task. It is a worthy effort though if you have several blogs that you’d like to include as a part of a main webpage for a business. It brings continuity and frame to an artistic effort.

My search ended with Sarah Bishop’s ‘Christabel’, and is the lead image. Below, you’ll find a few other favorite pieces of hers that I find just yummy….

As you see…very strong images with bold lines and intense color. A fascinating artist. Each image is hyperlinked if you’d like to go directly to its specific page.

*grins* I find that fascinating….I love hearing how people see art. I get a sense of masculinity from it…Most people depict lilies as so graceful and feminine; yet she is bold in her shapes and color.

Personally, I wouldn’t buy this piece either…but she’s got some others that I really like alot.

I adore the perspective on Christabel. It makes you take a closer look and it is extremely feminine and beguiling. The lilies are lovely. My first impression when seeing them is that they reminded me of Tamara deLempicka’s work.

I’d say Ms. Bishop’s work was well worth the hours of searching!

I love it too Ceeci….and that’s just how I see Christabel…feminine and beguiling….and floating…I like that about her. She looks like she’s dancing with herself….

I’ve not heard of Tamera…I’ll have to look her up.

I’d say Ms Bishop was worth it too. *smiles* I’m glad you enjoyed the site C. Very glad.
